Engineering News-Record Spotlights the Rise of Trenton’s High School of the Future

We are proud to share that Engineering News-Record (ENR) recently featured the extraordinary progress of our new high school campus at 350 Grand Street, highlighting the transformation of Trenton’s historic Horsman Doll Factory into a state-of-the-art learning environment for our scholars.

The new 91,600-square-foot campus blends the strength and character of the original 1930s structure with a modern expansion that will house a full gymnasium, performance and arts spaces, STEM-ready classrooms, specialty labs, and collaborative learning environments designed for the next generation of leaders. ENR highlights the incredible care taken to preserve three of the building’s historic facades while integrating new, innovative spaces that connect the school to the surrounding community.

This moment would not be possible without the remarkable partners helping bring this vision to life.

We extend our sincere thanks to Engineering News-Record for telling this story and shining a light on the innovation, complexity, and purpose behind this transformational project.

We are also deeply grateful to our exceptional partners at INTECH Construction, whose leadership and craftsmanship continue to guide this work forward with excellence; to Michael Farewell and Farewell Architects, whose vision beautifully bridges Trenton’s history with its future; and to our trusted partners at 22Beacon, whose strategic leadership and coordination have helped navigate the many complexities of adaptive reuse construction.

Most exciting of all, this ambitious project remains on time and on budget for its Fall 2026 opening, when it will welcome scholars into what we proudly call Trenton’s High School of the Future. With cutting-edge academic spaces, expanded arts and athletics, workforce development opportunities, and room to serve even more young people, this campus represents our continued promise to invest in Trenton’s children and in the city’s future.

We invite our families, supporters, and community members to read the full ENR feature for an inspiring behind-the-scenes look at the progress, challenges, and innovation shaping this historic transformation.

The future is rising in Trenton, and we cannot wait to open the doors in Fall 2026.
