Nevaeh Pickett
Nevaeh Pickett

Nevaeh Pickett plans to major in Health Exercise Science, first attending Mercer County Community College, with the goal of transferring to Delaware State University and playing on their NCAA Division 1 basketball team.

What are your plans for after college?
I have to have an amazing career and actually do something with myself. I do know when I get big I will come back to give back to my community.”

How has your experience at Foundation Academies helped you to achieve your goals?
“My experience at Foundation Academies has been a long journey starting from fifth grade to my senior year. I’m pretty sure all the teachers at Foundation will always remember me, not because of what I put them through, but because I was a bright, amazing student who would get the work done when I put my mind to it. The one thing I loved about Foundation and all my teachers I’ve had over the years is that no matter how bad I was, or how much I didn’t listen, they never gave up on me… and that’s something I will take with me forever. As I got older, I got my behavior together and a lot of my peers looked up to me and teachers respected me more for making good decisions and holding my own peers to high standards. In the end, Foundation has taught me everything I know now, and I appreciate everyone who helped me get through all these years. You guys made me the person I am today.”

How has your experience at Foundation Academies helped you to achieve your goals?
“Foundation has helped me a lot to reach my dreams. They helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Jose Guerra

Jose Guerra will be attending Stockton University this fall, and plans to major in Criminal Justice.

What are your plans for after college?
“I hope to become a state trooper.”

How has your experience at Foundation Academies helped you to achieve your goals?
“I have had a really fun and stressful time at FCA. I am thankful for that, because I really don’t think I would be who I am today if it wasn’t for the school. The relationships I built with friends and teachers have been the best they could ever be.”
