Today marks the first day of National Hispanic Heritage Month and as we look forward to celebrating, we also thank our scholars, families, faculty and staff for sharing their rich and vibrant culture every day by just being YOU.

An example of that is showcased in our brand new Empowering Them to Lead video produced by Julio Delgado ’19 and featuring several FA Latino school leaders speaking about the importance of diversity and how Latino culture inspires them as educators and role models.

At F.A. we’re committed to supporting all our families and delivering on our promise to equip all our scholars to excel in learning and empowering them to lead purpose-filled lives.

With help from our faculty and school leaders, we are adopting new norms for meeting the needs of all families at school events, such as Back-to-School Night, and expanding translation services during school hours.

We are working to implement new policies and procedures to better serve our families. Some can be accomplished quickly; others will unfold as resources become available.

Special thanks to Vianney Anzures for leading efforts to meet our need for interpreters and translation services.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate – and an opportunity to do the work to provide  equity for all our families.

We are proud to move forward together as a community.
