Class of ‘23 Looks Toward Purpose Filled Future

FA Collegiate Class of ‘23 is taking steps today toward a bright future!

With support from College & Career counselors, FA seniors are beginning to submit applications for college. Seniors also recently welcomed visitors from Seton Hall, Mount Holyoke and Stockton University, who shared information and answered questions about their programs.

Last year, FA graduates moved on to colleges, including New Jersey Institute of Technology, Howard University, and, The College of New Jersey, and careers such as automotive engineering, barbering, business, automotive technology, computer science, nursing and psychology.

FA Collegiate has OPEN SEATS NOW for 2022-23 academic year. To apply visit ttps://foundationacademies.org/admissions

Class of ‘23 families recently attended a financial aid workshop to help scholars find support for attending college, trade school, or certificate programs. In addition, FA is partnering with Young Scholars Institute to provide juniors and sophomores a college tour visiting Coppin State University, Howard University, Morgan State University, Georgetown University, and American University in Maryland and Washington, DC.

At FA, College & Career planning begins in 11th grade as staff coach each scholar to explore options & set goals. Juniors take a special college and career prep class, working one-on-one with counselors to create a plan  – whether the future is college, career, trade, military or family business.

FA also provides a College & Career Success Center website providing information to help Collegiate scholars – and alumni – plan and make progress toward their learning and life goals.

The website is managed by the FA College and Career Department, including John Salvetta, Courtney Agyeman and JonBonae Shipman. This team assists current students, their families, and alumni with identifying and pursuing next steps after high school graduation, and making “best match” decisions for their future.
