December Newsletter: FAmily is at the Forefront for All of Us

Hello FAmily,

During the holiday season, FAmily is at the forefront for all of us. Here at FA, as demonstrated in this month’s articles, our FA family is a supportive community where we strive to be growth-focused and help each other consistently grow, both professionally and personally. I have had the honor of witnessing this growth amongst our staff, and I am ecstatic to share the promotions that several staff members have earned.

Sheria McRae, our incoming CEO, joined FA as a teacher in 2010 and has worked her way through every level of our organization, demonstrating a strong sense of purpose and a deep commitment to our children.

Shanesia Davis, our current Director of Training and Development will be our first Chief Talent Officer, a newly created role that will play a key part on the Executive Team, beginning in July.

Isabel Goss, a current Leader of Student Culture, joined FA in 2011 as a teacher and has been promoted to Principal-in-Residence. The Principal-in-Residence program and position was created to build out the Senior Admin Team and to identify and build a pipeline of highly qualified school leaders who are knowledgeable and are being coached/equipped with the tools necessary to implement the FA model and lead FA’s schools and scholars to success. Isabel has worked at the middle school for many years in a few different roles, and we look forward to seeing her utilize her strengths and fine-tune her Principalship as a Principal-in-Residence.

Johanna Soto has been promoted to Operations & Finance Manager. Johanna will oversee the areas of facilities, safety and risk management, technology, food service, payroll & benefits, and transportation. Over the past 13 years, Johanna has been involved in many of these essential school functions and we are thrilled to have such an experienced and passionate leader in this role.

Just as we believe in our students celebrating their successes and helping them discover their “purpose”, we also believe in recognizing the adults and helping them live out their purposes. They are some of the most dedicated professionals you will ever meet, working day in and day out to provide our children with the high-quality education they deserve.

Thank you for helping to celebrate our successes and make these experiences possible.

From our FAmily to yours, happy holidays!
