FA Senior Draws Football Honors

Congrats to FA Senior Nasyr Ingram-McWhite selected as Trenton Central High School’s honoree at the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame’s 61st Annual George Wah Scholar-Leader-Athlete Awards Ceremony.
“Nasyr has worked hard in and out of the classroom,” said FA Athletic Director Chris Torino. “To balance the academic rigor of Foundation Academies and the competition Trenton Central High plays in sports is no small feat. Nasyr is more than an athlete, he is someone that people just want to be around because of his energy and never-quit and always-competitive attitude. He has a very bright future.”
Nasyr is an honors student at Collegiate who also led the TCHS Tornadoes team in tackles and has played basketball and run track during his high school career. If our scholars play a sport not offered at FA, they are eligible to play for TCHS. (Read more in the prior FA story, link here.)
The Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation honors high school football players from 21 schools in Burlington, Hunterdon, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties as well as a Scholar-Athlete-Leader from Princeton University and The College of New Jersey.
TCHS Coach Chris Franco praised Nasyr as “a committed and competitive student-athlete, and a young man of upstanding character” in a recent Trentonian news story.
The FA senior “stood out as a leader and competitor during the tough times,” Franco stated, referring to the Tornadoes’ challenging season. “He kept a positive outlook, performed with 100% effort, was attentive in practice and a pleasure to coach… There was never a doubt Nasyr deserved to represent Trenton.”
At Collegiate, if our scholars play a sport not offered at FA, they are eligible to play for TCHS.
