FOFA Is Excited to Welcome Five New Leadership Council Members
In the 2021-2022 school year, Foundation Academies welcomed five new members to its Leadership Council, each bringing their enthusiasm and unique expertise to our school community!
The Leadership Council was launched in 2018 as a mechanism to involve and connect the broader community in the important work of our schools. The Council is made up of professionals across sectors, ages, and perspectives. The group meets throughout the year to discuss our city, our advancement initiatives, and our innovative work in K-12 public education. Meet the new members of the Council.
Karen Andrade-Mims

Karen Andrade-Mims, currently Executive Director at The Father Center of New Jersey (TFCNJ), is at the helm of New Jersey’s oldest nonprofit dedicated to child welfare. Her vision of strengthening families by strengthening fathers is realized through programs that support and empower men. Under her leadership, TFCNJ, formerly UIH Family Partners and Union Industrial Home for Destitute Children of Trenton, has been the recipient of numerous community awards, proclamations, and commendations. Karen has a comprehensive background that includes administration, supervision, training, technical assistance, program implementation, and compliance monitoring. Ms. Andrade-Mims, a member of Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society, is a 2007 Leadership New Jersey Fellow who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University.
Jon Bodnar

Jon Bodnar is currently the Chief Revenue Officer for the Trenton Thunder Baseball Team and has been with the franchise since September of 2014. In his current role, he oversees all revenues including Ticket Sales, Sponsorship Sales, Merchandise, and Food & Beverage. In addition, Jon plays an active role on game days overseeing the Game Day Staff of Ticket Takers and Ushers, all while making sure the fans enjoy their Thunder Experience!
Dwight Green

Dwight Green is a seasoned executive leader who has driven venture and solution buildouts across the data, media, and marketing technology industries. He has served in C-level, strategy, innovation, product, and business development roles for major to emerging firms, after starting his career as a software engineer. Extensive childhood/adolescent exposures to diverse socioeconomic, racial/ethnic, and religious educational environments in Jamaica and New York City have proven hugely beneficial. Dwight earned an engineering degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Wharton Business School. He is a proud father of two and enjoys spending time with family, playing soccer, and gardening.
Amitava Haldar

Amitava Haldar’s passion lies in driving simplicity and inspiring innovation to enable inner transformations. Reimagining a new future, encouraging perspectives, bridging communications, inducing collaboration and alignment amidst organizational diversities, driving change, instilling predictability in outcome, constantly learning and course-correcting, is what Amitava does best. Growing up in multiple continents around the globe, Amitava was fascinated by the educational opportunities in the US and strives to encourage young minds to discover their inner passions. Amitava is a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from MNREC, India, and a Masters in Systems Analysis from Miami University, OH.
Zachyra Rodriguez

Zachyra Rodriguez is a Bicultural-Bilingual Licensed Clinician whose motto is “Making a difference in people’s lives”. Her love for God & passion for helping others has driven her to work with many individuals in different settings and backgrounds. Zachy (“Sashi”) as many know her by, has been providing psychotherapy in English and Spanish to many families, couples, and individuals for several years utilizing eclectic therapeutic approaches. She is a public speaker and has developed pilot programs, facilitates workshops, psychoeducational groups, parenting education, and mentorship programs. She owns a private practice, Healing Grounds Wellness Center, that specializes in supporting clients through trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and other challenges while helping clients towards the road of healing, recovery, and restoration.

Krystal Cohen is a member of the Advancement team at Foundation Academies where she aids with fundraising and community outreach efforts. Krystal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Princeton University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Affairs.
