High Infection Rates Prompt New Health Safety Measures

Community infection rates and illness due to COVID-19, the flu and RSV remain high, so Foundation Academies is extending our mask mandate and seeking consent from all families to allow COVID testing at school, if needed.

These health protocols are the same for scholars K-12, as well as staff at each campus. Following these safety measures will help ensure we continue in-person learning by helping prevent the spread of illness.

COVID tests used will be the familiar nasal swab, which is non-invasive and brief. Results will be shared only for health purposes. Tests will be performed by trained individuals and only if scholars display two or more COVID-like symptoms.

“Masking and testing are important but the best way to prevent illness is for families to keep scholars home if they do not feel well,” said FA Nurse Taleia Stephens. “We need to take care of each other.”

By completing this consent form, families acknowledge they have read and understand the information shared and authorize FA to perform the test. To cancel this permission for COVID-19 testing, please contact the school nurse at tstephens@foundationacademy.org
