Knight Fund Round Table Scholarship Winners Announced

The 2021 Round Table Scholarship winners (featured left to right) are Aaliyah Jenkins, Raymarie Martinez, Terrill Briggs, and Nomy Yates-Castro.

Throughout college, there are several crucial moments that can put a student at risk of leaving school.

To assist our alumni in managing financial barriers that can hinder them from entering or persisting through their post-secondary schooling and careers, The Friends of FA created the Round Table Scholarship.

This scholarship provides targeted long-term support for students by awarding them $10,000 for college expenses over the course of four years.

The recipients of this year’s Round Table Scholarships are not only outstanding students, but they also possess the qualities that are essential for college success. These include self-motivation, adaptability, empathy, and an interest in supporting others on their journey to and through college. As part of the award, these four brand new FA alumni have also committed to participating in upcoming FA community events and activities.

Aaliyah Jenkins will attend Rowan University and plans to major in Music Education; Raymarie Martinez will attend Northeastern University, majoring in Computer Science. Terrill Briggs will attend Villanova University, majoring in Business, and Nomy Yates-Castro will pursue Speech Pathology at Stockton University.

“We sincerely congratulate all winners and participants,” said Howie Powers, Chair of the Friends of Foundation Academies board. “In addition to following their own dreams, we believe these students will encourage and inspire others.”

Join us in supporting FA students by giving to the Spring Knight Fund Challenge. Every donation made up to $15,000 will be matched!
