Middle School Celebrates Academic Achievement

What has confetti, giant Jenga, hula hoops, limbo and the Cha Cha Slide? FA’s Middle School Spring Fling!

This “Friyay” afternoon party was a reward for students in grades six through eight who exceeded their class average achievement on academic assessments. FA students use individualized assessments to gauge progress and grade level readiness across several subjects.

Other fun end-of-year events include a music showcase, and end-of-year field trip to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom for students who met academic growth goals, 8th Grade Recommitment Ceremony and Last Day of School activities.

“This was our first Spring Fling – but I’m looking forward to continuing it,” said MS Dean of Student Culture Shea Lightfoot. “Bringing joy to our students in this building is vital to our scholars wanting to come to school.”

In FA Middle School we focus on academics, inclusion, self-pride, exploratory learning, and developing skills that can be applied to future careers and interests.
