The Friends of Foundation Academies, Inc. is a separate 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2010 to encourage community support of Foundation Academies. We support Foundation Academies by raising funds and delivering services, programs, acquisitions, and partnerships that equitably serve the best interests of our school community.
The Friends of Foundation Academies’ mission is rooted in the belief that all children deserve a quality education – regardless of zip code.
FOFA works with the FA Chief Executive Officer, FA leadership, scholars, alumni and the Foundation Academies Board of Trustees to understand the school’s strategic vision, identify the most pressing needs of the school community and then solicit, accept, and approve charitable donations.
These volunteer board members share their time, talent and treasure. They accept and approve charitable and in-kind donations from like-minded champions of education equity including individuals, corporations, and foundations that empower our scholars to achieve their goals.
In addition, under NJ law, charter schools may not build facilities with public funds. So FOFA proudly owns the FA Collegiate campus and leases it back to the school.
