Meals

We support the health and well-being of our scholars by providing nutritious meals every day. Our meal program ensures that all scholars have access to balanced breakfast and lunch options, designed to meet dietary guidelines and promote healthy eating habits. For families in need, we offer assistance with free or reduced-price meal applications.

  • To Fund your child's lunch, click here

  • It is extremely important that parents fill out the online required lunch form on the following website www.myschoolapps.com. One application must be completed per family. The window for completing the form opens on the first day of school.

Prompt completion of the application will aid Foundation Academies in determining the scholar's current meal status as defined by the National School Lunch Program.  Additionally, the current meal status will help ensure FA receives the appropriate funding to educate our scholars.

    • Foundation Academies would like to announce that breakfast will be made available as a Grab and Go option for students who arrive after the opening bell.

    • Breakfast After the Bell Flyer (English)

Anti-Bullying

FA disapproves of harassment, intimidation and bullying in all its forms and considers it a serious offense. If a scholar is a victim of or a witness to harassment, intimidation or bullying on campus, on a school bus or at a school-sponsored function, the scholar is required to inform a faculty or staff member. A scholar making such a report to a faculty or staff member may do so confidentially and anonymously. School faculty and staff will address the harassment, intimidation and/or bullying urgently and firmly consistent with the school’s harassment, intimidation and bullying policy and overall disciplinary procedures

Arrival and Dismissal

In order to ensure optimal traffic flow and to set up scholars for success, it is imperative that scholars are dropped off and picked up on time. We can’t do this without the valued partnership of our FAmilies.

Using ALMA

At Foundation Academies, we believe that a strong partnership between parents and teachers is key to elevating student outcomes. To support this collaboration, we use ALMA, a comprehensive Student Information tool. Through ALMA, parents can easily access important information such as grades, assignments, report cards, and attendance. The platform also allows for seamless communication with teachers and staff via email and gives parents the ability to directly edit certain details within their and their students' profiles. With ALMA, we aim to keep families informed and engaged in their child’s educational journey.

Using I-Ready

At FA Elementary and FA Middle, we use i-Ready, an online program designed to support student growth in reading and mathematics. i-Ready helps teachers identify areas where students can improve, personalize their learning experiences, and monitor progress throughout the school year. By adapting to each student's unique needs, i-Ready provides tailored lessons that engage students and promote steady learning gains.

Using MAP Growth

At FA Collegiate, we use MAP Growth to support student growth in reading, mathematics, language arts, and science. MAP Growth is a computer-adaptive assessment used by schools to measure students' academic progress over time. It adjusts in difficulty based on a student's answers, providing educators with detailed insights into their learning levels. The results help teachers personalize instruction, predict future performance on standardized tests, and evaluate educational programs.

Parental Rights in Special Education

New Jersey Administrative code for Special Education (N.J.A.C. 6A:14) and the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004) are laws that ensure children with disabilities are provided a free, appropriate education in the least restrictive environment.  Foundation Academy offers Special Education instruction in alignment with New Jersey Administrative code for Special Education (N.J.A.C. 6A:14) and the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004)

If you have specific questions related to Special Education at Foundation Academy, contact Nate Koenig, Dean of Special Education, at nkoenig@foundationacademy.org or Deanna Jackson, Lead CST Social Worker, at djackson@foundationacademy.org.

Water Testing Results

At FA, the safety and well-being of our students and staff are a top priority. In compliance with state regulations, we regularly conduct water testing throughout our school to ensure that our water supply meets health and safety standards. The most recent water testing results are available for review, and we are committed to taking any necessary actions to address issues if they arise.

McKinney-Vento Act

The McKinney-Vento EHCY Act ensures children and youth experiencing homelessness have equal access to a free, appropriate public education, and are able to enroll in and attend school. The program funds supplemental academic support services for children and youth experiencing homelessness to ensure their school success.

Remote Instruction Plan

In accordance with New Jersey state requirements, FA has developed a Remote Instruction Plan to ensure that students continue receiving quality education in the event of extended school closures or other emergencies. This plan provides students with access to virtual learning, instructional materials, and teacher support from home. Our goal is to minimize disruptions to education while maintaining a strong connection between students, families, and staff.

Project Child Find

Project CHILD FIND is a free referral service and public awareness campaign to assist in the identification of unserved/underserved youth with a delay or disability from birth through twenty-one years of age.

Non Discrimination Policy

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

Family Handbook 2024/25

This handbook articulates in detail the practices, policies, and procedures that we agree to follow to ensure we actualize our promise and purpose.
