Our Advancement

As a public charter school, Foundation Academies receives approximately 75% of the state per-pupil funding that traditional district public schools receive. In addition, charter schools like FA receive no funding for transportation and must compete with other charter schools for a limited pool of state dollars to finance facilities needs.

To bridge these gaps, our Advancement Team leads efforts in fundraising, scholarships, student enrichment, staff appreciation, professional development, and external affairs.

Enrichment

At FA, our Enrichment program creates intentional learning experiences that empower our scholars to pursue their passions and equip them to lead purpose-filled lives.

Knight Fund Scholarships

In support of FA graduates, the Friends of Foundation Academies provides scholarships and awards through The Knight Fund to recognize achievement and assist as they navigate "to and through" college and career paths.

Friends of Foundation Academies, established in 2010, is a 501c3 nonprofit run by a board of volunteers. Donations to the Friends of Foundation Academies nonprofit organization help bridge that nearly $5,000 per pupil funding gap, and enable FA to provide our scholars with high-quality classroom supplies and a safe, inspiring learning environment.
